Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar
April 6, 2014 - December 21, 2014  |  7:00AM - 12:00PM
Every Sunday underneath the Jones Falls Expressway at Holliday & Saratoga streets

The Baltimore Farmers' Market & Bazaar returns April 6 through December 21 for its 37th season!

While strolling through Maryland's largest producers-only market, shoppers can revel at the sight of a vast quantity of foods, including crisp fruits and vegetables, poultry, seafood, beef, pork, lamb, bison, goat, rabbit, fresh baked goods, flavorful herbs and organically raised and produced milk, yogurt, butter, eggs and cheese products.  Additionally, dozens of food vendors add spice to the market with multicultural cuisine such as popular pit beef sandwiches, omelets and breakfast burritos, crepes, wood fired pizzas, pies and quiches, soups, noodles and dumplings. Vegan items are sold as well.

The bazaar offers shoppers a variety of unique crafts and collectibles including jewelry, handbags, hair accessories, clothing, rugs, pottery and wooden items, stained glass and photographs.

Opening day at the market offers shoppers a selection of fresh foods and plants from regional farmers, cooking demonstrations, advice from expert gardeners, live music, handmade craft and unique collectibles.

On opening day, Chef Egg presents a cooking demonstration with locally grown, fresh ingredients starts at 9am.  Demos will be held near the Saratoga Street entrance and market-goers are invited to pick up helpful cooking tips, recipes and delicious samples.  Shoppers can also enjoy the sounds of the Baltimore Islanders Steel Band throughout the morning.  Just in time for gardening season, experts with the Baltimore City Master Gardeners of the University of Maryland Extension share advice on starting and improving gardens.  In addition, TreeBaltimore of the Baltimore City Recreation and Parks offers residents free trees for their homes and businesses through the Free Tree Giveaway program.
